In newshapes’ first 2 years as a band the pop-fuelled post-hardcore outfit have captivated the Scottish alternative world, with statement early releases attracting support from the likes of Rocksound, Kerrang!, BBC Radio Scotland, BBC Radio One, Spotify and more. With diverse influences injecting the glistening production of pop and indie, the anthemic choruses of alternative rock and emo, and the ferocity of metal and hardcore, the group proved themselves as prolific songwriters through their impressive debut EP ‘i hope this finds you’ in 2023, with an extended edition including a huge collaboration with metal heavyweights and Scottish compatriots Bleed From Within.
The band’s sophomore EP ‘a conversation with myself’, featuring latest singles ’the rain’ and ’sick of breathing’, has been announced for April 18th 2025, and is to be marked by newshapes' very first run of headline shows as the quartet continue their charge to the forefront of the UK’s booming alternative scene.
